I last fished this place over 20 years ago for one day and got skunked as i did not know what i was doing, I went back to fishing the local rivers but always in the back of my mind was the idea to buy a lake boat and fish the high desert lakes. Fast forward to this year and a trolling motor on the jet boat and away i go.

It was a beautiful morning when i launched about 9:15am the lake was flat calm and it was an indicator and chrominid show for me until the wind kicked up about 1pm and most of the other fisherfolk made a bee line for the takeout, I stayed until 4pm but the fishing really slowed down so i headed in. not everyone was catching as i found out when i got back to the takeout. As i was packing up my gear and getting the boat ready to head home i was approached by a couple of anglers who must have been watching me as they wanted to know what i was using to catch my fish. When i found out they had not touched a fish all day i was happy to share what i was using. It seems most folks use black chrominid's which i tried but i changed after finding a brown one with some green in them was the working fly. I also have to give a big shout out to the folks on here who posted in the "A stillwater indicator leader setup" as it helped me with working out what would work for me, All in all i had a good day and will be back next week to try again/
