So yesterday I was walking the dog down by the bay when we happened upon this

We were on a man made levee, not 50 feet from the salt/brackish water and there was not a nest in sight. So I got to thinkin' what this might be from.
It was too big for any of the ducks in the area and the nearest emu farm is at least 20 miles away so in Jim Travers style I STARTED RACKIN' MY BRAIN!
I dismissed the possibility of a Soviet or Chinese submarine delivering black market super eggs in the dark of night to further manipulate our economic instability...so I did what any prudent person in the 21st century would do, I did a Google deep dive...
.....and like a headache that turns into a brain tumor after a medical deep dive, I determined that a shell of this size, so close to the Salish Sea ( and therefore, the Pacific ocean!)..could be from none other than....

GODZILLA !!!!

...but being the responsible person I am, I did not want to cause mayhem in the streets

so I decided to reach out to my fly fishing family to get an unbiased, science based, second opinion before I contact the local authorities.
Keep in mind that time is NOT ON OUR SIDE! I found the shell over 24 hours ago and although what remained of the yoke was still yellow and gooey, we all know how fast things can get out of control when GODZILLA is involved...
so Cabezon? Gyrfalcon? any ideas? FWIW there were loons and Canada goose in the area
