6 Piece Glass?

I've seen their graphite one but not glass which I might just go with at this point since there's a lot of options. Just been enjoying fishing glass this summer! I've been working with the WA Trailblazers doing some stocking trips and need a more packable rod than a 4 piece for the terrain we hike in and need it to fit it inside my pack.
Go check out the glass forum! Theres a few glass nuts here (myself included), but they tend to fish bigger glass (ie less trout).
But like I said, at least in terms of modern glass most stop at 5 pieces. Barclay, Kenney, and Green all make 5 piece rods that all pack under 20”. What wt rod are you looking for?
I'm fairly sure that Lamiglass made a 6pc in their "honey" rod blank at one point. I own one, but am away from home at the moment and can't remember if it is 5 or 6 pieces.
That said, those are sloooow "classic" style blanks. Which may not be what you are looking for, even if you could find one.

A 5wt would be what I'm looking for. I'll just keep perusing around the forums and see if I can find anymore info. Thanks guys!
What line weight? Axisco Airrite (Japanese glass) makes a 6'6" 2 wt. and a 7'6" 3 wt. I have the 2 wt. and there's a 3 wt. advertised for sale on the Fiberglass Flyrodders site, a bit spendy though. The 2 wt. gets 4 out of 5 stars in my book. and the 3 wt. is well regarded. They may have other rods as well, but are hard to find. The old (very old) Berkley Buccaneer had an 8' 6 wt. that was a 2 star tomato stick.
I have both the Green and Larry Kenney 8' 5 wt. 5pc rods, both built from blanks. The Green is very good. The Kenney is flat out awesome, it was a 'second' blank due to a very slight paint mismatch. The 5 wt. 8 footers are pretty small, unless you're parachuting into a stream they should be just fine.

Stephen Bros. retired and sold to Shane Gray (Graywolf Rods) a few years back. Still great a great builder.

I have a custom 5 piece, 8 foot, 6 weight with no label, but pretty sure it is a Lami s-glass. Each section is 20 inches...
Needs to be refinished but really fishes nice.

Yep, not a bad plan at all. I have Steffens from both OG and from since Shane acquired them....plus another custom order on the way. Always top notch and insanely good tapers.
Randy is the official, non paid staff marketer for Steffen.

Buuuuut, if there is something that speaks to you in a way you can't necessarily articulate & is the best effing rod you've ever cast, take a gander at Steffen Bros. Otherwise, keep searching....in which case, best of luck!

Same mandrels rolled the same, just by different people all trained by Mark Steffen.

He does a nice job. I have a 6 piece McFarland (his Yellow Glass) 5wt, 7’9” in length that Shane made. I wanted a rod that would slip into my travel duffel or even a small day pack, and that I could take pretty much on any trip. Even if there was little chance of fishing. Kind of a security blanket, I can always disappear for an hour on a patch of grass. McFarlands cast wonderfully. One thing (I think I know 
) is to get a 6 piece just a tad shorter than a 3 or 4 piece, to keep the swing weight in a sweet spot. I’m sure Shane knows this. You’ll find 5wt glass makes a superb fly rod. Handles decent trophies but the little guys get to show off too.
