That leaves me outβ¦I'd treat all the good-looking regular posters here to 4 days at Corbett Lake Lodge.

Wow,a Zappa moment!
So I guess the jackpot is up to 1 billion now. If you buy Soap Lake that means you have like 999 million left over. Might as well buy Ritzville. Maybe Spanaway. And maybe buy Stonefish a Krispy Kreme franchise on Aurora Ave.Buy Soap Lake
I will refrain from further comment.Maybe hookers, blow, and midget ghillies on the Alta in Norway. Yeah, that would work.
Being somewhat of a skimming reader, Iβm glad I read it all, word for word. It expanded my thinkingβ¦I hope this is not too long nor political. Won't know until I finish it. If political, please let's keep it to a minimum....
I have lived a a long and hard working life for a middle class lifestyle. Earned what I have and also learned some hard lessons along the way. One of the things I have learned is to give back and help others and as well as pay it forward. Baby Boomers, like me, had a great chance to be the best generation ever. It is what we did to experience and take advantage of that will determine how we are remembered for. Only time will tell... Future generations will not experience what we remember nor understand/experience what we have. We had the best of times and some of the greatest challenges as technology overcame us.
Some of the experiences and payback as well as pay it forward I have been a part of:
Have invited people over to fish and create forever memories. Bruce (HBMCC) was able to get away and catch his biggest trout ever, then catch a larger one minutes later only to have a bigger fish break 10lb test a bit later. A grandfather wanting to fish with his grandson and build a relationship and memories. The smile on his grandson's face after fishing said it all. Having an adoption group associated with one of my daughters catch her first large fish was priceless. Her handwritten note a couple of weeks later (who does that?) ending with "I like tugs!" - say no more. Later I found that she was the first and only girl to complete the sessions with the MayFly project (@Northern and @FishingGirl ). I wish I could of helped the MayFly project more but my area did not support that. I would buy a bunch of property, enable veterans and others with safe and convenient access as well as provide access, especially younger folks, access to cast and catch from a quality fishery. I have also supported 'Make A Wish' endeavors for those with medical challenges. Smiles on their faces is priceless for sure...
My wife and I had a scavenger hunt for our daughter's 8th birthday. No one could find nor tell the difference between a maple leaf or an alder leaf. Much less find a Rollie Pollie or newt/salamander. My daughters could. So I would support a 'camp' to educate people about nature that we live in. This site with the thread "Backyard Wildlife' is awesome! Wish it could be shared more widely. The amount I have learned is beyond expectations - for sure. @Evan B ?
So I would commit a good portion of the lottery to funds that make 'give back and pay it forward' a long term reality. I would do it at a local level because that is not enough money for a national level. It could provide a roadmap for other areas of what can be accomplished. That would include supporting our veterans as well as local organizations that help out our latest generations. Baby Boomers can only do so much. We need to support the energy and new insights as well as new approaches to solve our existing/future problems/opportunities. I would create perpetual scholarships for the young, invigorated, and talented generations in the areas of Biology, Fisheries, Water, Pollution, Climate, and Environmental Sciences. We need their help and support to continue fact based science to address current and future concerns.
Dude! Well done.I hope this is not too long nor political. Won't know until I finish it. If political, please let's keep it to a minimum....
