2025/26 Hockey Season

Well... it might be a slow year. The ducks had the puck in our end most of the night, and until the 3rd they were killing us of shots on goal. I sure hope the new coach starts pushing shots on goal s mean goals! Even sloppy shots can sneak through.

But a opening night win is a WIN!
 
Both the opener and last night were fun games to watch. OT goal with 3 seconds left? Good times.

I agree that the VGN gameplay looked better than the Ducks AND that we need to be throwing more shots on goal. Especially with goalies who give up rebounds. But the final score is the one that matters.

Be interesting to see how this long road trip stretch goes.
 
Have the lead til 2.5 minutes left in the third period, then gave it away in overtime. Ugh.
 
Another slow start in the first tonight. On the other hand, shots on goal were up, which was nice to see. And they kept fighting back every time the Canadians scored.

Just couldn't hold the lead at the end. OT gives one game, OT takes away the next. So goes hockey.
 
This is the year my beloved Habs (Montreal Canadiens) return to glory!!

Just checked out their roster and noticed there is one player with two names. How does that work?

Xhekaj, Arber and then Xhekaj, Florian….what gives? It’s the same guy!

Is he 2/3’s of the Alphabet Line? Penalty kill? Inquiring minds want to know what’s going on here.

I do see the three teams tied at the top of the Atlantic Division with 3 wins each. Guess that means they’ve qualified for the playoffs, right? 😉🤣🤣🤣

(PS: hope the Philthy Flubbers lose the next 80+ straight.)
 
It's great to see them all most of the time... Last night was ROUGH! Especially against the Sharks.

Still early in the season, holding out hope for playoffs.

We were joking at the game, I don't know if I have enough life left to see the Mariners in the World Series but maybe the Stanley Cup.
 
New female hockey team name is the Torrent. I like it but I was really hoping for them to be called the Octopussies. I’ll show myself out.
 
The Sharks are on the rise. I will be in Seattle for next Saturday's game and look forward to a close and exciting game!
