Quick question on figs.
I have access to my neighbors tree. It seem the time of year when they are ripe.
What do folks who have fig trees or access to them like to do with them or how do you prepare them. I've never dealt with them before.
Thanks for your input.

Stuff with goat cheese and wrap with prosciutto or bacon...a bit of effort but really quite good.
Just baked with goat cheese and drizzled with honey is good also.
We like this...

Pretty easy and we make a bunch and call it dinner, with some wine, maybe a salad.
Spanish Chorizo is one of my favorite things in the entire world, so any chance to eat it I take.

Dehydrate them, chop them up, drizzle with balsamic, put on pizza with mozzarella cheese, goat cheese, crumbled bacon, sausage.

A fig jam smear on top of a roast for the last 15 minutes in the hot oven… or a thick seared rare- med rare steak caramelized under the broiler for a a couple minutes or less

That sounds great. I had fig chutney once done similar to that and it was excellent.

Should be good with Humpy...
;)

All the figs on my neighbors tree were kind of small and still hard, so I paid a visit to a tree in the neighborhood that is in the middle of a street roundabout. I found it when COVID started while out on my daily walks. Just grabbed a few pretty decent sized ones that were soft to play around with.
A guy walked who was walking his dog and he asked me what I was doing. I told him I was getting free produce, lol…...
