Tonight is the first day of the NFL draft, which can be very boring during the long wait in between picks. I was thinking today about my 2022 selections if time and travel were unlimited. What are your draft selections?

1) Blue Marlin - Massive power and leaping ability. Motor that never quits. Cons: may need to use a teaser.
2) Tarpon - Powerful bucket mouth grabs. Huge vertical leap with tail walking ability. Motor never quits with lung-like air bladder. Cons: gets sulky in colder temperatures.
3) Mako Shark - Ultimate speed demon. The best vertical leaps in the business. Great power and mass. Cons: chum slick required.
4) Giant Trevally - Big motor and a nasty knock you on your ass attitude. Excellent speed to the fly in vicious bursts. Cons: minimal leap, rubs leader on coral heads.
5) Yellowfin Tuna - Great speed and power with reel sizzling runs. Good endurance, not afraid to go deep in the water column. Cons: rarely utilizes leaping ability, fights in circles.
6) Chinook Salmon - A hard striking salminoid with a big motor. Power and mass to spare. Cons: stays deep in bright sunlight.
7) Bonefish - A blazing first run into the backing. Fights with steady power. Cons: spooks easily when toothier predators approach.; lips can rip.

Trade up Opportunity) Permit - Powerful fighter with exceptional visuals. Not easily fooled, challenges the psyche. Cons: picky, fussy, moody.

That's awesome!

just a couple to throw in...

Musky - Excellent burst with above average closing speed. average size but with above average intimidation factor. cons: can be extremely moody & high maintenance, less than average sustained energy, sharp teeth can cause frayed leaders and blood loss.

Steelhead - average speed, below average size, average motor, easily fooled if around, but don't always show up on game day. cons: over-rated, will likely be over-drafted, 6th round talent will likely go in the 1st round by someone desperate to fit in.
