Yes, the Seattle environmental establishment supports conservation measures to recover salmon very enthusiastically. In the fine print, however, is hidden the facts that most of those measures don't actually produce any measurable recovery. That is why I have pointed out from time to time that the public insists on providing the highest quality lip service while measurable results lag far behind. To be fair - and balanced - I'd like to point out that both Seattle City Light and Seattle Water Department have invested millions of dollars in fish conservation measures that actually do produce measurable increases in fish conservation even while other factors diminish those results.
