My main concern was no longer living 15-60 minutes from my favorite West side "S" rivers. Despite the ever increasing likelihood of getting my windows smashed at the launch anytime I fished, there is just something about the Sky, Sauk, Stilly, and Skagit...
Anyway, we're now about 10min from the mainstem Flathead and 20 from the Middle and South Forks.
Been doing a ton of exploring with new fishing buddies and of course my trusty bird dogs.
Last week, I experienced a late afternoon BWO hatch that was straight up bonkers, and put my concerns of missing WA to rest for good.
All you can eat buggy buffet, sniping cutties and rainbows at 40 feet with the 3 weight...not another soul in sight, and not a piece of trash the entire walk in/out.
They call it the last best place for a reason.
