I have been using one of these for years now and regard it as a fundamental part of my camping gear. They plug into any standard 12V outlet in your vehicle or a power station. Mine is used in the Casa on those chilly spring/fall days after a day on the water when the cozy warmth of a heated blanket is a real comfort. It is also used all winter long in my recliner in front of the TV and runs off of one of my Jackery power stations. The one I have been using was a standard Hecho en Chine model that sold for around $30 before the pandemic. Recently I upgraded to a better model that cost about $50 and it is a significant improvement. The new model is 60'' x 43'' and more than twice as thick as the earlier one and much warmer even without the electricity. One side has the black and red quilted pattern of a flannel shirt and the other is a faux sheep shearling, both being extremely soft and warm. In addition to the warmer materials it has a plug that can be removed when heat is not needed and also allows it to be washed. Another improvement is that it remains on for 4 hours instead of just 2 and it has 3 heat levels instead of 2 as well. Power consumption is rated at just 50W and I routinely see just 48W on the readout.
If you travel in winter with a family member that often gets cold one of these (or more) will make their life a lot more comfortable. Using my smaller 1000W Jackery to power it, it runs for about a week on a single charge after an evenings use. Cheep heet!
