    Puget Sound

This. Missed my only opportunity Sunday as a nice fish hit mine the second it landed and I still had some slack. Was hoping the hook was sharp enough after filing it. Nah.

Anyone tossed Vision rods for Pike and have opinions?

Finnish apparently! I've found a couple of shops in Canada that carry them.

Anyone tossed Vision rods for Pike and have opinions?

I ran into a 10' foot version of the "hero" when I was on a Pike trip overseas and liked it quite a bit, though the 9' footer agreed with me more. Has anyone here used them and have opinions to share? I'm conscious that I'm probably susceptible to the "story" and branding, but am considering the...

    The St. Joe in September.

And steeeep banks in many spots. Definitely have had a few close calls scrambling out.

    The St. Joe in September.

Purple hazes and general attractor patterns should crush in September once nights get cool. Drop something small off the back and enjoy. Also, how "upper"? If you're talking paved road still above Avery, then I'd go with a 5 wt. I haven't gone much further than where it hits dirt, so can't...

Trip Planning for Summer England / Scotland / Ireland in July

Thought I'd circle back and let folks know how things are shaping up. Two factors that changed travel plans 1) We decided to cut back some countries a bit ... RIP Scandinavia and 2) We couldn't find any lodging on Isle of Skye (whoops to booking this portion a bit late). Scotland: Day one: As...

    NFR NBA 2024

Was kinda bummed by this series. Pretty clunky basketball and Mavs were severely outmatched. Props to celts for building the scariest roster since prime Golden State.

    Puget Sound

Very good call. I busted mine about 10 casts in on a trip to Madison River in October. I had geared the entire trip thinking about streamers, so that was a tough first day (but it did increase beer throughput).

These recent picks are killing me. My 6 WT bolt is sitting on Bainbridge waiting to be fixed.

I was wondering about the salmon bit since I saw it was an option. Are run timings similar to here in that it ramps up into Fall? And lol @ experience of getting skunked.

Little scared of this factor with the kiddos and wife.

Trip Planning for Summer England / Scotland / Ireland in July

It depends on how accessible things would be generally. If I only had one day to get out, I'd probably look toward a guided option, but otherwise I skew DIY.

Trip Planning for Summer England / Scotland / Ireland in July

Great call. This sounds silly, but I'm most interested in the vibes / scenery / wet lines. Would it be great to lip something in the old country? Totally. But it isn't required by any means. It will be quiet time away from the fam (don't tell them I wrote that part).

Trip Planning for Summer England / Scotland / Ireland in July

Hey y'all. Haven't posted much over here, but was semi-active in prior years over in the bad place. Realize this may be a bit of a shot in the dark, but my wife has a bit of a unique opportunity for a work sabbatical this summer and we are planning a six week trip across UK - > Ireland - >...
