Confirmed that they are milkfish. The concierge asked me if I was going to catch the baby sharks in the channel. Should have taken her up on the offer. Could have made a spectacle until security arrived,

Stringing up the rod tonight. Could have sworn I saw several groups of bonefish in the canal/moat where the tourist boat runs on tracks. Any else ever seen them there? Also schools of papio if I wasn’t mistaken. Hopefully I can find some in the bay!

I like OpenSnow for winter mountain stuff.

Maybe we could set up a Fantasy Tuna League where us armchair casters can draft folks from the forum ... ???

Falken Wildpeak AT3W's have been great on the Duramax. I tow the travel trailer to the ski hill every other weekend all winter and they do well. Even put them on the trailer. I suspect the AT4W's will be awesome too.

I've been fishing the Cutthroat furled leaders for trout for years and really like them. Just gotta remember to add floatant at the beginning of the day for the dry line fishing.

Ends up I’m still on island! Fished with Rob on 12/16. He spotted five fish. I blew the first couple shots (excitement and poor line management in the wind). Had one follow but no take on the next shots. Then it rained and blew for about a week and I caught a head cold. Extended the vacation...

Reels and spool have sold. Thanks.

What is your opinion on the Cortland 50+ core lines? I purchased the GT and Heavy Sink lines. Stronger than RIO factory loops? Thanks.

Thanks for the replies fellas. Not going to worry about the new factory loops on the saltwater lines until there is a story!

Bump for Cyber Monday.

Bump and reduction. Thanks.

I know its been said before but ordering reels from Sweden is "reely" fast. My L5W 6nine reel was shipped from the factory on Monday morning (11/20) and arrived in Springfield Oregon before dinner tonight (11/22). Shipping cost $22 with DHL. Holy crap that is fast. Reel is beautiful.

I agree. Gotta shift some gear around to fund the saltwater quiver.

It is a sweet rod. But to help fund the new Hardy Zane Pro 11wt and Danielsson H5D 9thirteen, gotta choose from the "rod and reel savings". It was either this ACR, Beulah Onyx 7129, Islander Spey, or the Abel Spey reel. Tough choice between the four.

The interwebs are divided on cutting them off. Thoughts?
