On Colvos Passage the tides mainly go North- low/high, doesn't matter. And then during various stages of the tide you can get big back eddies that go the opposite way in ways that are tricky to predict. Those multi-direction shifts per tide are fish magnets. They also make paddling or kicking...

Just about done, probably need to paint that Azek but got basically what I wanted, cleaner, lighter. The cable rail is black and near invisible in low light. If you need some black cable and some swaged cable run bolts and post plugs I got a bunch left over. Thanks for the tensioning tips, I...

Matt That Tom Petty is basically equivalent to a walk-off homer.... side one, some musical types say, is among the greatest sides of any album in the history of time. So now the rivalry has it's own dumberer evolution BOOT: record collecting is one of the gateway drugs to a hoarding...

Jas's home remodel project includes a walk in fish freezing facility. If you are wondering what happened to either the 2026 coho or tuna run, that's where I would look.

It's an honor to be on the list "Amiable Morons/Half Wits/Imbeciles/Fans of superfund+concrete plant action and Cretisn (sic) who have fished with Matt" But an even higher honor that I am not on the sublist of "Forgets Shuttle Keys"

An old friend of mine was working for AP at that time, she took this famous photo and the story behind it is below. She went on to become Jakarta AP photo chief, and was then covering the boxing day Tsunami. Two of the most awful disasters, she covered front lines for them both.

Kinda dumb of the Rams to fly to Melbourne, have 24 hours rest, and then play. Niners played the easy card on the Jetlag there....

That very top fly is similar to about 60% of what I fish in salt, a little bigger perhaps, generally with more cylinder hackle. Catches pretty much anything except pink salmon and starry flounder.
