And here it is. Resting to get it all up to 165F, front left breast is at 160 and likely fine. Will move in a bit and make gravy from drippings in pan and serve with rice. Smells great!

I had the space and we’re out of bags 🤪 I have a heat sealer but just ran out of the bigger bags but we got ‘er done. Stuck in half a clove of garlic and a couple of rosemary sprigs for flava in the cavity. Now in the oven…..

Chicken pot pie. Mighty fine but from now on no breast meat, only leg/thigh. I had reservations of the recipe as I find breast meat dry and dull in any form and so it was, despite 1/2 cup of butter for the roux.

Chicken dinner, our Sunday night staple. The left over gravy gets frozen and ‘recycled’ for juices from the next bird. We’re about 50 birds in, it is really good.

Haddock is the best for fish and chips. Grew up in the west coast of Scotland and that was the only fish fried then. Times have changed and now other fish are used but haddock is just amazing. Finnan haddies and Arbroath smokies as how smoked haddock, just unreal to flavor and in soups. Cullen...
I hate the fall as it really ends Summer but the opp to make things like a stew with short ribs and porcini is a crutch that gets me through, serving looks like crap but Lordy, delicious.

Dunno, I’m ignorant, I think more chiro based on everything else re their look and crane fly are terrestrial bugs so the emergers wouldn’t be in the lake but who knows, those legs…

I was on a uk forum and a poster had these from a pumped fish. I’ve never seen mids with legs, these are still sub emergers and so I need to look more carefully. Pretty cool I thought.
