I’ve seen all those blems in fiberglass blanks I’ve built. But have seen a lot more graphite blanks struggling to be straight

What are some of the difficulties working with fiberglass over graphite?

I used to just salt them and let them dry on top of the fridge on cardboard. Lasted for years

If you are thinking about buying these, they work great. Just make sure you car hood and or roof is not aluminum. Ask me how I know.

Here is how I carry the lifestraw for fishing or backpacking when water is around. The kleen canteen fits the straw empty and weighs very little. I fill it when I need a drink and the water is usually cold out of the river. Can fill it for a long hike in or out as well.

I’ve settled with the platypus gravity. Works fast and easy. Msr is the same company and just has different fittings. For on the stream I carry a lifestraw and a water bottle that fits the straw in it with lid closed. Fill with water when needed

Chris Reeve knives. Found one actually in stock. This one is also designed to remove the micarta scales for lighter weight packing but it is already pretty light.

I have impulse purchased some knives because of this thread and maybe regret a couple but this is not one. Picked up a new bird and trout knife i'm excited to try out and take backpacking with me.

I don't loose anymore flies off the magnetic patch than I do off any other fly patch I have had. They are the rare earth magnets and are very strong. I fish allot with a waterproof hip/fanny pack and these allow you to attach a fly patch without puncturing or having to have a place to hook it...
