    Music on the water

My advice is to keep yer eyes open and yer mouth shut. Many places I fish have rattle snakes and I want to hear their warning sounds. I want to hear the birds sing and the frogs and fish splash. But I also want you to feel free to listen to what ever you want in the ears on yer own head

HELP, Landowner Blocking Historical Access Point to the Miami River, How To Proceed

This is what I know about gates that block public land from the public. Where I live east of Roseburg the checker board of public and private land is controlled by the private land owners. The logging companies gate the roads to keep the public from using and abusing their property, but that...

    SFR Pheasant Farming for hunting

Just my two cents. Upland bird habit is disappearing faster than ever. Having a good place to train yer dogs and a place for take younger hunters or first time hunters and get into birds like when I was growing up, where I could get my limit and see many other pheasants plus lots of quail. We...

    SFR USFS Budget Cuts

To my understanding, USFS land is public land, open to the public. So why can't the public take care of their own land? I have an idea why, and I pick up litter on public land all the time. But locking off public land to the public is not the answer.

RV and Truck sales at risk in Washington

I'm just glad I bought my 4x4 F250 super duty turbo diesel in 1996. This pickup has 250,000 plus miles on it, empty highway, 20 plus miles per gal. pulling my 20' camp trailer 15 to 18 depending on the wind. If something happens to this truck I will rebuild it before I buy a newer one.

Huge Landslide on Lake Roosevelt Causes 30' Tsunami Wave.

This reminds me of the Rock Island area of the Columbia River. There had been a earthen dam that broke and the mountain side on the southwest side of the river/lake. Where Malaga is today slide off and made another earthen dam that also broke. History is repeating it's self from man made dams

Chinook observed in Klamath River tributary above Iron Gate

Fishing in the Klamath River is moving to the top of my bucket list. I've been studying google map to find a good route to get there from here. Growing up in Medford when I was a kid the stories of trout fishing was high lighted by the guy telling the story by saying: I saw more rattle snakes...
