Yeah I certainly don't want the football look due to epoxy buildup, but on most of the wraps the thread grooves are visible where the epoxy fully soaked into the thread. It is just hard to see that detail in the pictures. That buildup is one reason why I would potentially choose to cut off...

The other option I have done with these is to switch them up by unscrewing them and then you can mix-n-match halves. So I have white/orange, white/pink/, green/orange...the multicolor is just easier to catch after I look away and then look back and try to find it again. No different than many...

I agree. I went with a 5" on my last purchase and really wish I would have gone with a 7". In the store and holding something right in front of me or looking at a demo on the shelf a 5" seems like more than enough. But then I get out in the sun, and I am standing up, maybe a few feet away...

I met a guy on Lenore one time who often fished with a foam hopper on a sinking line. He swore by it, but I never got around to tying it.
