LOST 11/8/25: Rubber net with wood handle at Salsbury park

I’m sure the tide has claimed it by now but if anyone stumbles upon a net like this, please get in touch. The lanyard and screw have broken off for a while. I kept it tucked in my backpack and it slipped out without me noticing

Knowing what numbers you guys Usually pull 1 each seems pretty dang slow. Next week might be a cutthroat program for me

    Puget Sound

Made the trek to the canal today! Got talked into spending the bulk of the time at a non canal popular chum spot. Unfortunately the fishing was really slow compared to last week. As the run started to build up some gear fishermen showed up and waded out too far spooking them. Did a combination...

    Puget Sound

I just wish my head wasn't turned to look at some eagles- the only evidence I have that my fly got attention was a sloshing sound that came from the general direction of my fly that was too loud to have been made by a fast strip or bend in the fly line straightening out

    Puget Sound

This was actually the first time I threw top water for sea runs. I definitely missed a ton of bites fishing dries in rivers but found the fish would often recommit

    Puget Sound

Tried something different and threw poppers for an hour today. Always surprising how close to shore these fish get. I moved spots and just as I walked down the beach a cutthroat jumped clear out of the water right where I was standing, couldn't have been more than a foot of water! Had a nice...

    Snohomish to close until november.

Tried to hit it today but 6000 CFM seemed a little high still. Didn't even see one roll but I only had an hour after work

    Puget Sound

I wish I had the time to head south. Local disappointed as usual despite one fish jumping. I’m not sure if my bad luck there has to do with the restoration project damaging the cutthroat population or the switch from spoons to fly making my catches more proportionate with the population

    Non-Fly OP Salmon 2025

Anyone ever stayed at Quiluete Oceanside resort? Stayed there as a kid I think, went fishing the next day for the la push late season opener. Wasn’t anything special but seemed nice for the price and had a nice view

    Non-Fly OP Salmon 2025

Where do you guys recommend staying out there? It's a little cold for me to camp, Forks Motel seemed clean enough but wondered if there was somewhere with better value

    PFDs you'll actually wear

I have this too. We kept our old boat at the Edmonds drydock all winter once, and due to poor weather sealing the next time we launched it we discovered two inches of water in the cabin below. My inflatable PFD was down there and had only partially inflated. Maybe it had been like that for weeks...

    Coho 2025

Still good numbers of coho being caught in Puget sound from what I hear. Does this bode well for b run coho? I hope so because I haven’t been able to fish any October weekends except this one and the only rivers in after work distance are closed. Fished up in BC and got into a small fall king...

    Methow Steelhead Opening 2024

Isn't the river still super low? Wonder if some rain could bring more in

Does salmon spawning affect the trout fishing in creeks?

I would say the contrary- I remember the first year I started river fishing casting a bobber and bead next to spawning pinks looking for a coho (Don't try to reason my noob logic) I ended up catching a very pretty resident bow (Possibly juvenile Steelhead) and could not keep the whitefish off...

    Lower River S River SRC

Thought I would ask you guys thoughts on SRC fishing in the lower S rivers. With saltwater coho fishing slowed down and our boat coming out of the water next week I am hoping to switch my focus over to the streams. I have my local area 9 beach which put out tons of spinner and spoon fish for me...

    Puget Sound

It was very slow for me in the downrigger fleet today, I would say it makes me wish I drove up to a beach but the wind makes me say otherwise. Speaking of boats, how have @Kfish and @jasmillo done? Any fly casting for coho from the Candlefish?
