Like you, I'd put China at the top of the list. My trips were all too brief but definitely left an impact. I think the average American would be absolutely flabbergasted at how advanced their cities are.

It's from a spool of Rio standard backing I've had for years. I think you're on to something though. There's a lot of posts saying the backing is loose/twisted, but this reel has never touched a fish, and most certainly never had the backing off the reel since being filled up. It's been used...

Worst I had ever had as well. Fresh gelspun backing and a new 500gr sinking line has been installed.

I kept cutting backing until things freed up. Had a pile of backing pieces at my feet. How and why I had to cut like 100ft of backing off when there was still 50ft of running line on the reel is beyond me. I'm convinced there's a new and unstudied branch of quantum physics that exclusively...

Been spending about the last thirty minutes trying to get this line off a reel. Only thing this line has been used for is casting to and not catching coho on the Columbia River. Hasn't seen anything strong that'd dig it into itself. No super fast runs from a pissed off fish that would backlash...

Very true - I had a day last year where I had an almost full box of fish, so went to casting for them with the fly rod. I'd have the other two jig rods with fish on, and the fish were just swiping at my fly and not committing. Troll - it may be the most effective thing in the spread.
