Has anyone made cased sausage? Worth the trouble?

They end up with a pretty solid blooper reel at the end of each season. Talented crew.

I'll refer you back to the Letterkenny clip in the first post...

Has anyone made cased sausage? Worth the trouble?

Always a good choice. Was just on their site earlier trying to figure out if custom sausage was something they offered. Giving them a call is on my to-do list.

Has anyone made cased sausage? Worth the trouble?

Good advice! Perhaps what I should be doing is looking for another quality butcher. Even if I have to drive for a bit to get there.

Has anyone made cased sausage? Worth the trouble?

Has anyone gone through the effort to make cased sausages? We had a local butcher shop in our area for a number of years. An actual proper butcher shop and it was pretty awesome. The guy would make up custom sausages for dietary requirements, specific recipes/styles, etc. But for whatever...

    Kodachrome to Digital

Depends on how many you have to do and what level of quality you require. Just a few that are very important? Somewhere local like glazers is probably the way to go. A couple dozen (or more) where cost is more important than perfect scans? Scancafe or similar “mail in” scanning companies will...

    Grady-White owner donating the company

Very cool! But not quite cool enough to make affording one anything more than a daydream for me. Still, a neat thing nonetheless.

    Your "Go To" salmon recipes...

You know, Josh. If you HAD shared the low sodium salmon jerky recipe here, you wouldn’t be unsuccessfully searching for it again years later. BIGSIGH™

    Rain

PNW Weather Watch is not super bullish on heavy rain (euro model), looks to be landing north of WA. The OP, Vancouver Is, and coastal BC may see a decent chunk, though not much until it picks up overnight Sat/Sun. But other than maybe whatcom/skagit, most of WA looks fairly dry.

Waders - The awesome, the bad, the leaky

https://pnwflyfishing.com/forum/articles/dryft-seekr-wading-pants-review.51/ Waist high waders are very useful for some specific situations. But no, they aren't a do it all solution for every use case. Good old bibs are still the winner there. If you can only have one pair, gotta be full bibs...

What is Your Fondest Memory When Fishing?

If we're talking about a memory of something I myself did, it's probably the few times early on when I put it all together to find my first fish in a creek/lake/whatever. Where I said, "I think there's a fish in Y spot, I'll use this fly, and try to cast to X so the fly drifts through Y". With...

Waders - The awesome, the bad, the leaky

All I know is that my next pair of waders will be zip ones. Fit is more important than brand to me. But I'll probably start with Dryft to support a PNW company. If not them, then maybe look for sale Patagonia or Orvis.

New Article: Float Plus 1 C Float Tube Review - A tube for the bigger fellas

Tired of killing float tubes every few years because they aren't built for your size and fishing style? Looking for something that trades a bit of portability for a higher weight capacity and the strength to handle getting beat up on dozens of missions a year? So was our resident Jolly Bass...

    Floating phone case?

Ah, my apologies! Glad to hear that the one you have doesn’t suffer the same issue. The design seems solid, just more of a materials issue on the Nite Ize one.

    Floating phone case?

One note about the Nite-Ize version that @Zak and @Northern use is that they seem to have a fair number of "this breaks" reports about the cloth attachment loop that sticks out of the phone. Photo below is from one of the Amazon reviews. I'm generally a fan of Nite-Ize stuff, but I might skip...

    Floating phone case?

This is a topic that I keep meaning to write an article or post about because I am someone who wants to have my phone with me (for safety and photos) all the time when fishing. Including in a tube/kayak/boat. I have essentially been using a setup like the YakAttack version above for a few years...

How do I store all these damn fly rod tubes?

I can confirm that the $8 laundry basket will hold 20 tubes (including 4 being larger spey tubes). It doesn't look as tidy as the blueprint holder setup, because the different tubes don't line up equally in rows. But for the price, it's a pretty solid way to go. And despite my concerns about...

How do I store all these damn fly rod tubes?

The "plan storage" style rack that @DimeBrite posted about might be the ticket. $35 for this one and you get a weird little storage pouch to go with it! On the other hand, the laundry basket @Herkileez posted might be even easier and is $8 at Walmart (bought one for laundry purposes last week)...
