Cabezon - you reminded me of a TV that flew over the house a couple of years ago. I was quite, pleasantly, surprised.

I’ve had the pleasure of scrub jays at my office in Burien. Always a pleasure to have them around. And, the Cooper’s hawk that keeps the rock doves in check.

Cabezon: Excellent, as usual. I spent considerable time at Nisqually in the early-mid 70’s. The old barns provided a great nesting structure for, what else, barn owls!

Caramellos are good too.

We have so many birds at our other feeders now. I go through 40 lbs of black oil sunflower seeds a month. That is in addition to the other ground seed I put out for the other seed eaters.

They have still been very active at my feeder lately.

I really don’t have a favorite. I try different things and haven’t been disappointed.

I have never been disappointed at Centro.

No pics but the harlequin ducks showed up in Normandy Park, south Seattle. Always look forward to seeing them in salt in the fall.

Just finished Code Talkers. About the critical role that the Navajo played in the Pacific campaign against Japan. They developed an unbreakable code that really made the US victories possible. A great read.
