I remember quite a few little char in the upper river as a kid, but I’ve personally only seen mature browns there in the fall. Makes me wonder if it’s a small spawning run. Fish wasn’t very big, maybe ~16” and a bit snakey, but it was cool.

I think they’ll wiggle like crazy if I can get the furl the right tension. The mop chenille is lively stuff stripped. And it’s hard to capture in photos but the Aussie possum really does interesting stuff wet. I don’t know much about streamers but I’m intrigued.
