Not a great image (too dark, a little out of focus) but had fun shooting it. Painted light on the Jeep with a flashlight. Had to turn the lights in the tent to their lowest level or they overpowered the image.

Generally speaking, aperture wide open. My usual starting point is a 25 second exposure at f/2.8, with ISO at 3200. This varies depending upon how dark the sky is. If your lenses are not as fast you can compensate with higher ISO, or longer exposures. Beware that beyond 30 seconds or so the...

I see the Yellowstone now opens July 1, instead of July 15 as its been forever. This allows fishing while there are more fish in the river that have not yet migrated back to the lake. A little surprised by that given the YCT's ongoing recovery from the '88 fires, lake trout, etc. Other than that...

Fact Check: FALSE I have it on good authority (2 teenage fashionista's) that Vans, mocs, closed toe sandals, Nikes, etc. are okay with shorts. I hear about it when I break the rules, like wearing Crocs. But they are just great camp shoes! There may be rules that are age-dependent though...
