Pasta making day. It’s been a few years since I’ve busted out the machine. Made some Kabocha squash ravioli, porcini mushroom ravioli and some general noodles for the freezer pantry. My girlfriend was more impressed with the noodle cutting machine attachment than my hand cut noodles 🤣

Just make sure you make a “complete” stop. Fife loves its traffic cams. Don’t ask me how I know.

Hell yes! I currently have an open pack in the fridge and a backup for when that runs out. I occasionally find myself perusing the local Eastern European markets for the good stuff. I’m kind of a fiend 🤣

NYE sushi dinner. Veggie tempura, a couple veggie rolls, spicy tuna roll and torched albacore belly.

I freeze salmon carcasses and bury them deep in my tomato beds each year. Make stock with rockfish/lingcod carcasses. I’ve smoked salmon carcasses, collars and bellies. Or I’ll scrape the meat off the bone with a spoon and add it to fried rice or salmon cakes. I have a hard time throwing away...

Shrimp russula with shrimp stuffing.

I made a fairly big batch of tamarind syrup with a block of pulp, water and sugar. The hardest part is taking the time to strain the mash through a sieve. It has lasted in the fridge for about 6 months now. It’s a great addition to homemade lemon or limeade as well.

A recent Skok chum video. We’ve seen these before and it’s nothing new but this one is good and worth a watch. Chum are warriors.
