Suckers are challenging to fair-catch intentionally on flies. For me anyway. All the ones I've caught were surprise bycatch while fishing for something else.

What do you think the jig hook does for you vs a standard down eye hook? Just easier to tie the fly on with the extra space from the foam “blob”?

Yeah grilled asparagus frequently does come off overdone, I agree. I used to grill asparagus, but not really anymore. Steamed or sauteed are my go-to methods for asparagus these days.

I like to make a couple foil packets of wood chips. I’m into pecan. Put them straight on the far side burner on high, and alternate the burners under the chicken off and on. Mostly off. Perfect amount of smoke. And are you Down With the Crispness? I am.
