I have a 36 volt makita self propelled. Built heavy duty, hold 4 batteries but uses 2 at a time. I run makita 18v platform tools so that's the camp I'm in. I also have the 36v blower and 36v string trimmer plus assorted 18v drills etc. Yup I'm a Makita fan

Hmmm, thought I had the easy answer. I would think as it records in real time it should update your path only. "Paper " maps always stay the same until a new one comes up, correct? This could get interesting

I can't offer much more than encouragement and white to white, black to black but I'd like to take a peak at your build someday. Personally I looked at the garmin portables and I know there are some clamp on hinged transducer arms that should work for you. Great looking project!

That my friends is inspirational!! I also grew up in the trade, almost 50 years worth. Wish there was a good woodworking shop thrown in there somewhere. Now the shop in my dreams is filled with years of accumulated crap. Good crap though! At least that's what I tell myself.
