Anyone else also a hunter in here? Getting ready to backpack into a new area next weekend, and looking forward to it. I usually bring a small rod with me, but never end up using it. It will probably stay home this time. And I will probably regret it. Good luck and stay safe out there.
Four cars in the lot, and another pulling in.
Water is still very low and a bit off colored as I drove over the Dodge park bridge. Color wasn’t bad though.
Hope everything works out for you. I have no idea how deep our well is, but it’s always cold and the best water I’ve ever had. Friends usually stop by on their way out camping to Mt Hood or the Clackamas drainage and fill up the containers.
We have heard it was started by a couple kids that had a campfire while camping overnight on the river. I don’t understand what goes through some peoples head, thinking that a campfire with this weather is ok.
This is way too close to home, literally. I hope they can contain this. 🙏🙏

It is very sad to see that there is nearly nothing left of the town. And will what’s left of the banyan tree survive? My dad lived in Kihei for a few years. 55 confirmed dead, and many hundreds still missing. Horrible.
