I had it in my 40's (1998). Cortisone shot and rest eventually did the trick; I wouldn't go that route today. There are better & safer treatments available today. Go to a doctor.

I fished for capr since the early 70's. Over the years I have typically heard . . . "You're crazy," "Really, what ARE you fishing for," "Why," and my favorite "You can't catch carp on flies." On the plus side, while I don't fish at the moment, the secret was safe for decades.

Hawk Moth?

I either wore a buff pulled over a ball cap to protect ears, cheeks & the back of my neck or my most frequent choice - a floppy-brimmed hat that I would also periodically soak. Eastern WA sun exposure can be brutal.

Are there dead limbs/perches near to the nest box? Is there water close by? Since they are natural-cavity nesters, I wonder if a round or oval entry hole would be more appealing to them?
