    Bad cold or something viral

RNA vaccines will be the rule for flu pretty soon. 100-140 million fertilized chicken eggs are used each year to make the traditional flu vaccine. Staggering number, but check it for yourself. All are fertilized and incubated in one of a number of high security containment egg production...

    The Trout Spey

I have a 10.0 ft Beulah platinum switch rod... apparently not made anymore? I use it as much as any rod I own. I did not think I would get into the swing thing. Once I got sorta decent at it (self taught hack), it became my favorite way to fish medium sized to larger rivers for trout.

    Rocks

For the past dozen or so years I have had the opportunity to both bass fish and rock pick at an amazing set of gravel pits in the Willamette Valley. I have had tumblers going 24/7 for about that whole length of time, but I am starting to taper off. My wife says enough with the rocks! I give a...

    Watch those scams

I second the freezing of credit reports, if you don't need to have such a thing active. The guy who handles my retirement $$ strongly recommended this.

Click pawl reels are the Harley Davidson of the river

Love 'em. One of my first reels ever was (is) an Orvis Madison, which I bought as a demo reel in 1991 from the Grizzly Hackle in Missoula. Over the years I have bought several of them online, and I use them for much of my trout fishing. I have scavenged a couple for parts. Other small...

    SFR Three nylon ropes

1/2 inch and 5/8 inch nylon ropes, from an old powerboat my dad had. They have been stored in the garage for a long time, we just moved him out of his house. They are about 12 ft (5/8 inch, like new), 15 ft, 40 ft, each with a loop. I figure someone could use them, I can't. You pay shipping and...
