Man, I miss watching the Group B rally cars flying through the logging roads around Shelton back in the mid '80's. Insanity on four wheels. We spent many days and nights following them from stage to stage when they came to town.

One advantage on naming a bridge is that many people will see it as they pass by. A simple reminder to all that hopefully provokes a little thought and gratitude as they drive over it. Monuments can certainly be more powerful, but people need to plan to visit them.

We often have four or five squirrels raiding a suet bell. It's gone in a day or two. We just bought a "peppered" suet bell that the squirrels don't like but the birds don't mind. It works! The squirrels leave it alone, but the regular group of chickadees, towhees, finches, etc. snack away...
