I found a few no name reels on Craigslist. They aren’t the caliber of what I see on here, but gotta start somewhere. I cleaned decades of dirt and grime off them and lubed them up. They work amazingly well and seem to be well made. Any ideas on who made them and when?

Merle is correct, this is a great price for a great rod. I own the same rod and someone would have to hold a gun to my head for me to sell it for less than $475. This should go quickly.

Personally, I mix it up depending on where I’m casting. Upstream lies I strip pretty fast just to keep the line as tight as possible. Across and down I use the rod to jig the fly as I strip. Nervous water in the shallows , I get it in front of them and strip like mad.
