SFR A decision has been made-big move coming

We are considering both and taking the risks seriously. Our plan is to get the input of 3 real estate professionals for both rental and sales prior to making a choice. We've got one already, a second should be in by end of week. We have a really great mortgage, 3% interest and about $1000/mo...

Black Bear Attack on Mount Si

I saw a bear on trail one of 3 times I hiked it and have friends that live in the area that often have issues with bears, especially ransacking garbage bins. I'm not surprised by the encounter, but it sucks for all parties involved.

    Got any bird pics?

I stumbled upon mama grouse and her baby in the Quinault Rainforest a couple days ago. I don't know what the brood size normally is, but there was only 1 chick. How incredibly camouflaged they are though.

I picked up a tick bite on the Lower SF Skokomish trail a couple months ago. It developed some dermatitis after 2 weeks and I freaked out, went to urgent care and got a Lyme test, negative. Doc said that it didn't look like the typical Lyme rash, gave me a steroid cream and it was back to normal...

    2026 Gardening Growing Thread

I went all tiny tomatoes this year: sweet million cherry, sungold, and yellow pear. I only have space for 3 plants and I've found eating them straight of the vine is my favorite way to enjoy them and if I get overwhelmed, they are great oven roasted or turned into sauce.
