I've been very behind/not posting trip reports at all. Mostly because I've been to busy with work/child care/fishing, etc. But my excuse the past two weeks is because I've been out camping on multiple different trips for the majority of the time (heading out for another 3 days in a couple hours...
I pieced this beautiful rig up on a whim thinking I would/could get into tiger musky fishing. It turns out my twice repaired casting shoulder can't handle a 10wt with big ole flies. Chris is one of, if not the best builder out there right now and typical of his rods, it's beautiful.

My wife's out of town this weekend and my kid and I are doing our first solo backpacking trip together (it's always the three of us). Made me think of you. I sure hope she doesn't make me bring both her fly and spinning gear.
I cook 99% of the meals at home for my family so when I’m camping/fishing I want to cook as little as possible. Freeze dried meals are usually on the menu.
I may be in the wrong and not know the correct etiquette but if youre not posted up on it waiting for a hatch, fair game to me. But I also ONLY fish trout. Maybe it’s different for steelhead? But also, I’ve never floated/camped.
I have 4x 7’ and under 4wts, as well as a sub 7’ 3wt and 2wt and rarely do I wish I they were longer. Maybe, I wish ONE of the 4wts was 8’ ;)
All glass though.
