Did anyone ever fish one of the Redington Vapen red rods with the Winn golf grip? That might have been a good alternative to cork but it never seemed to take off. SF

They definitely weren’t the sharpest either, which is why I don’t mind cutting them. They work perfectly fine for shanks on stinger clousers though. SF

They are cheap and duratin which holds up well in the salt, so I don’t mind cutting them. SF

Yep, found those while Googling tonight. I’ll go that route if I can’t find some here. Figured there might be some members that no longer tie saltwater flies that might have some of these lying around. I’d rather throw a board member some cash if possible. SF

It’s wet at my place, but kind of disappointing amounts. I’ll take it though as things were getting really dry. On the bright side of things, the 10 day forecast looks like the old June weather we used to know…..and love, at least in my case. 😉😂 SF
