    Limits!!

Yeah I'm guessing when we fished in June you were probably laughing at me and my plastic rods saying "NEXT". Probably will eat these words but I thought bamboo was too difficult to cast and out of date. I seriously did not want anything to do with bamboo. Shoot now I have 3 Hardy reels and a...

    Limits!!

Ran out to the truck last night and found the reels sitting right in the middle of the back seat. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Almost enough to give a guy Afib. Winding a floating line on the Hardy Feather weight later this afternoon. Thinking I just might need to check out "K" lake tonight...

    Rod building station/Desk question

Looks like an excellent and serious operation. I use a pretty simple self built jig and maintain thread control with a bobbin. It works but when your looking at a dozen + projects makes me think time to invest in some real tools.

Hotreelz of Burien repaired St. George!

Post your FREE STUFF (the "pay it forward" thread)

LOL, I was responding on the fly rod. Reels are nice but actually searching for Hardy LRH to support bamboo rods that I am rebuilding.

Post your FREE STUFF (the "pay it forward" thread)

Funny, I just started wrapping snake guides on a similar vintage bamboo rod that I am rebuilding. I will take you up on it if no one else asks for it. They are sure fun to fish.

    Aquatic vegetation

What is happening to aquatic plants in our Western Wa. lakes this year? It seems like aquatic vegetation such as Bullrushes, Rushes and Cattails in every lake that I have fished are significantly depleted or completely missing. Any biologists in our community that can shed some insight on what...

    Brown trout!

Quality fish determined to eat their prey. Pretty insane watching those fish come out of the water to attack the fly from the top. Sorry for the crappy pic.

    Brown trout!

Thx Steve for taking one for the team and not turning back for those missing waders. Sorry, I still have to laugh about that first wave coming over your bow. Think that vocal range is called soprano? Crap, you still out fished me 2x but I finally c&r my first brown trout.

    Intermediate/clear camo lake lines?

Thank you Aaron for that thoughtful and insightful response. Peace.

    Intermediate/clear camo lake lines?

Think Bambooflyguy's point was using an intermediate line is less effective than a full sink line. I certainly have given up on the intermediate lines for full sink lines. I personally use floating lines to target fish down to 15ft(ish) instead of using intermediate lines and then switch to type...

    Intermediate/clear camo lake lines?

Remember how Luke revered Obi-Wan. Just saying, Bambooflyguy ain't Luke. If he fishes with type III line it's because he catches one hell of a lot of fish with it.

    Shark Fest flies

I can't believe I caught a bass on Bambooflyguys seal pattern using a bamboo rod. What twisted world have I landed in?
