OooH! Nice flask

Great memories fishing openers at Mineral, Clear, and Tanwax as a kid. Yup it was a zoo. Thankfully don't remember any snow. Yikes. Mineral still fishes well and gives up a few browns occasionally which is always fun. Not like the browns at Pass though.

Finished filing down the scarf, everything lines up pretty good so applied Tight bond III and zip ties to clamp it down for the curing process. Repair wrap and epoxy coming soon.

Bamboo failed just above the scarf. At least it failed on a nice rainbow while I was demonstrating my version of the tuna set. Unfortunately, the fish swam away as I retrieved the rod. Going to try repairing the rod by cutting a new scarf and a solid repair wrap. Might use some ugly thread just...

Nice looking rod. Love the fully loaded rod picture. I started with one bamboo rod that Steve refurbed for me, now I fish with 3 sometimes 4 bamboo rods. Way more fun than plastic rods. even with all of the crappy casts that I seem to make. Bad habits seem worse on bamboo but hey I catch a lot...

It definitely was a good day. I had a great day c&r 33 but watching Steve battle that pig into the net was the high light of the day. I managed to capture 2 pics of that fish before it flipped back into the water
