You have just reminded me why I have a couple packs of circle hooks in my tying supplies! I was going through hooks a while back and couldn't remember why I bought them thinking maybe it was a mistake, but now I remember some discussion about that in the past.

I think mainly the numbers and that they turn on a bit more frequently. But really the last few times I fished chum were pretty slow which is probably part of the reason I stopped targeting them as much. Plus I have a run very close to home so it's convenient.

That caught my attention as well. I've always thought an indicator setup could work well for depth control and less foul hook ups but haven't spent much time trying it. Haven't spent much time chum fishing the last handful of years either though.

My recommendation is to absolutely not use this method. You will no doubt end up with a broken rod.

Why do you suspect that is though? Seems like the forced air heat along with good agitation should lead to even heating. I'm using a heat gun which is a similar heat source. Perhaps I'm just getting much better agitation with the bread maker paddle.
