    What's in your vise?

Thanks Man, it's ripple ice fiber in smolt blue with a bit of ice dub in UV shrimp and a few strands of barred voodoo fiber in a loop. Then a final loop around the chain bead of rabbit in FL Krill. All overkill but I enjoy tying them. Two days ago on my last day out the system I was on had...

    What's Catching You Fish?

A good day, water was perfect and was lucky enough to cross paths with a player.

    Superglue

In addition to use for tying, I use it for those painfully recurring skin cracks at fingertips and creases in the winter, likely not healthy but it's an instant problem solver, reduces the sensitivity and accelerates healing IMO.

No kidding, lots of changes and stuff moved around, old runs or little buckets, pockets and seams gone but new ones to explore and find.

    What's in your vise?

Couple shrimpy ones I just tied in a van down by the river hoping I get a brief window of semi - OK water to fish some dirty, soft inside edges before the next deluge starts on Sunday and everything's fully blown out for who knows how long.

The Skykomish goes back to 1929 per the header on the NW River Forecast page. I would imagine the snoho is the same or similar.

    PNW Flood Watch - Dec 8-12, 2025

That is a shit ton of water coming down those two forks. I lived in a medium bank cabin between the forks and Index thru the 90s and went thru that decade of high water events. As I kid I was in Index the day after the 80 flood when the town lost half a dozen homes, the land they were on and the...

    Favorite Fly To Tie?

The last couple years it's been variants of a graboid type string leech. Latest batch from yesterday for winter's, not practical as I have to many but pawn some off on a couple buddies and donate the unused at end of season then do it again next year. I enjoy building the chassis then varying...
