    What's in your vise?

I’ve been on a Crappie kick this past year and have had luck with a white marabou tail under a bobber.

2 guys that know a lot about fishing lakes.

Competition fishing does nothing for me, but lots of good info here- https://www.wetflyswing.com/howard-croston-on-competition-mindset-and-loch-style-fishing-for-stillwater-trout-littoral-zone-podcast-22/

Disproportionate nymphs that look like jigs???

I 100% agree. I always take a throat sample and only use flies the really mimic the natural food source-

    $500 Pikeminnows.

They can be caught on the Columbia with flies. No where near as effective as fresh salmon eggs though😁.

    Winter Warmwater Fishing.

I fished a popular SW WA lake recently. For reason only the fish know, I think every Crappie, Bluegill and Perch jam themselves into a 1/4 mile section of a certain canal during the winter (trust me it is no secret, just motor around until you see a fleet of boats). Although it can be a...

    Road Trip Lake recommendations?

From my understanding it’s not like it used to be 10 years ago. But a group of us still make the 12 hour drive and fish it every year and have a great time. It’s not overly technical. We mostly fish buggers, leeches and bait fish patterns. It’s a fun lake to fish!
