Annual favorite fish of the year thread.

Two stand out. On the fly I was out with my wife and son on a West side lake. I got a holdover with half a bubble gum pink rubber worm hanging out of it's butt. My son thought it was the funniest thing ever. Gear wise I was out with my son and father in law coho fishing the bar. I dropped...

    Gloves

I have some Simms ones but it doesn't look like they make them anymore. I have found them on the racks at truck stops or gas stations before.

    Puget Sound

I had a coworker who lived on Alki. He saw people out there doing it so decided to try. His first time out he got 3 in the time it took the old lady next to him to fill her bucket.

Thanks, in a few weeks he's getting gloves, goggles and a chest protector. He has knee pads for scooter and skateboard but doesn't like wearing them. Maybe we will try some MTB specific ones.

He likes the Sam Pilgrim videos. He wants to learn how to backflip so time will tell. He didn't pick the easiest hobby for a parent to watch. We also don't want to hold him back. He's our only kid so we don't really know what the hell we are doing. That new bike looks pretty slick also.

Affordable places you would actually want to live

I know this was a question on where to live but a few people are suggesting you learn a trade. I don't know how many them work in a trade. It's not for everyone and changing from a desk job to manual labor is going to be a shock to the system. You can make more than most people think you do...

Still at it when we can. He's not a big fan of the rain. We've both eaten shit a few times. He feels it for minutes and I feel it for weeks. I'm not the best at getting pictures/video. This is a decent one of him trying to whip.

    NFR Metal supplier?

Here's what I ended up with. Left the top masonite outside and started to rain see if it's salvageable tomorrow. Also find a way to temporarily attach the transition. That way it will roll on end in the garage.

    NFR Metal supplier?

Thank you for the offer. The person I was thinking of was able to sang what I needed.

    NFR Metal supplier?

Yeah pipe at the top and flat steel at the bottom. I have ordered smaller stuff before but would rather find local so I don't have to ship. I thought of a lead on some after posting. If it doesn't work I'll check one of the places listed this week.

    NFR Metal supplier?

I'm building a skate ramp for my son out of the old shed. I need a 4' stick of rigid pipe and something like 4'x1' 3/16" steel. Does anyone know of any suppliers in the area that sell off cuts where I might be able to find something. So far all I have into is it is 4 clearance casters and a...

I have 3 Dell monitors. Two are matching from my wife's COVID office setup. The third doesn't have a box. Located in Edmonds

How did you end up in your career?

Just finished my fourth week of being a stay at home dad while my son gets settled in at kindergarten. It's a bit of an adjustment not having a "career" at the moment. I've been doing manual labor since I was 16 years old. My dad was a carpenter and my grandpa was an iron worker. Both of...

Been on the bikes everyday but one since he got it. He had a lesson at Duthie last Sunday in the rain. He rode from 9:30 to 1:30 until his hands and feet were cramping. Here his is from day two on a mountain bike. Fourth time down the jump he thought he would try to whip the tail out...

No turning back now. He was waiting inside the front door of school 5 minutes early with his bag packed and class room cleaned. Had an issue first day with the derailleur rubbing the tire. He rode from 2-7pm. Took it back and they adjusted it and threw a new tire on because he was bummed...

Alright we're in it now. The guy talked me out of a hardtail. I still walked out with the cheapest full suspension and cheapest pedals (only red left). The feel is way different than the old hard tail I've been riding the last couple months.

Do anyone have any opinion on a Davinci hardtail for a novice/beginner? The cheap bike I bought of Craigslist is too small but it was close and cheap. It seems like my son is going to stick with this bike thing. I'm thinking I need something that fits at the very least to keep up.

Talked to a guy at a bike shop today. He was saying keep running the Guardian for now. He said we could throw some fatter tires on it to act like a suspension. Then when he's tall enough for a 24" step up to something with full suspension.
