    Chum Strength

When I lived in Kitimat we used to get chums starting in late june. Some where large (20+ lbs) and very bright. They were lots of fun to catch, not at all like the fall chums.

    SFR Superstitions?

My old fishing buddy, may he rest in peace, had a bannana in his lunch every single time we went fishing and he caught plenty of fish. I have no issues with bannanas. Other stinky things like Oranges, or other fragrant foods do not get in my lunch though. I do not use perfumed soap or...

    SFR AI imagining...it's fun!

I am no artist, but it looks like AI will soon make artists a thing of the past.

    SFR AI imagining...it's fun!

The absolute worst thing about AI is the ability to mimic reality with regard to information. All you have to do is spend a bit of time on social media to see how it is being used to blur, or even obliterate the line, between fact, and fiction. Once people can't agree on what a fact is, it is...

    SFR AI imagining...it's fun!

Yup, now you have to assume whatever you are reading online is partly, to mostly, to 100% bs. Can't trust a damn thing anymore. Hence, the state of the world these days.

Why are SRC called Harvest Trout?

Guys fishing the salt in Canada refer to coho anytime before May or June as bluebacks. I hear there are quite a few bluebacks kicking around right now.

One material, two if you add a bead.

    Very sad day…..

I know two buddies that got divorced, one after a few years one after 35+ years. Both parties found out the grass was not greener elsewhere and ended up getting back together with their ex's. So, almost like fishing, you just never know.

Ah. The new lighter, faster, more accurate Sage

If you are patient you can buy quality, high end rods and reels in excellent condition for prices that are reasonable. Full retail is out of the question for me.

    Spot The Bucket

Right to left is easy to spot as the upwelling on the surface is on the downstream side of the rock on the far left of the picture.

    Spot The Bucket

Agreed, the more pressure on the river, the more the marginal, less fished spots, tend to shine. You are missing a lot of fish if you just fish buckets IMO. Plus, buckets are rather easy to spot, the marginal spots that many pass up, those are what really separate the men from the boys, and...

    Fish release tool

Another Ketchum release fan. Awesome when fishing pinks, grab leader while knee deep, slide tool down to fly, push, pink is gone. I attached an old oversized spin n glo to the tool for flotation. Yes it is overpriced!

    Rotary vise recs

Take the back cover off the plastic stonfo base and fill it with lead shot and screw it back together. I noticed my buddies stonfo base was much heavier than my old stonfo base. They have obviously rectified the problem.

Have a buddy that also made the switch to a Nor Vise and says the same thing.

    Intermediate lines

The ONLY lines that coil on me are my clear intermediates. All other line configurations either come off the reel nicely or can be given a quick stretch and they are good to go. If it is warm enough outside, the clear intermediates are tolerable, but still far worse than all my other lines.
