Howdy all!

In the interest of sharing quality content and getting the word out about pnwflyfishing.com, we've started an Instagram account:

https://www.instagram.com/pnwflyfishingdotcom/

In addition to whatever Evan, Billy and I are up to (and promoting fishy events in the PNW), we plan to use member-submitted material with their permission. To be VERY clear, we will never post photos you take without your permission. That's not our style around here.

Please check it out and give us a follow. If you've got an Instagram account, fishing specific or not, feel free to share it in this thread so we can follow you as well.

And yes, we're working on figuring out how to get instagram embeds to display on the forum automatically. ONE THING AT A TIME, PEOPLE.

This place is evolving to fast for me. I like laid back learning. Having to learn new things all the time screws up my brain. I'll just stay along the edges. You might hear from me a time or two. But not anymore interested in my post count. I'll be a run of the mill kind of person.

That said, I suspect Old Man is readying himself for his next 10k posts and how to be all over instagram! 🤣

Not really. Kind of loosing interest in fishing. I even think I over stepped my grounds on ever fishing like I used to. My get up and go left without me. The interest just isn't there any more. I also know that getting a new float tube was the answer that I was not looking for. This kind of thinking has been creeping into my head lately. Should I stay or should I just go.

Lakes here in Montana are not like they were in Washington. On a given day you could hit 5 lake in a circle of less than 5 miles . I have trouble even finding 5 lakes even close to one or other. The closet lake for me here in Butte is about a 25 mile drive and a 200 yard hike up and over a fence to just get to the water. All other waters are reservoirs. But they are huge. Walking anyplace is not good for me.

I only come here once a day to read a few stories, then I leave. When I first stated on these sites I used to read every story and then I would leave a comment. Now I just glance at a few and leave. Since I only read things on fishing the rest of the forums hold is not holding me close.

Here's hoping you get your fishing mojo back soon.

Eh, you’re overthinking it, Jim. The forum is the same as it’s ever been aside from the fact that we’re not on WFF any more.

Instagram, newsletter, member contests. None of them are important if you don’t want them to be. Read threads, answer questions, tell stories. It’s all good.

Instagram only affects you if you choose to participate in it. Otherwise nothing else has changed. Just want to have outlets to potentially find new members.

I haven't been on IG all winter, but I reckon I'll get back on there here soon and will definitely give a follow

@capt_nickclayton is my account

"voted best fly fishing forum by your mom" :ROFLMAO:

Cheers!

@adamcu280 winter stuff is slowly transitioning to fishing stuff and soon to include SE AK work stuff, bike stuff, and hopefully some surf stuff.

@bearclaw_guajolote for my personal account including a lot of hunting and fishing

@bearclaw_custom_rods for all of my rod building and fishing

I've taken a 3 year hiatus from rod building since moving back to the east side, but I just finally got my bench all put back together and I have dozens of blanks that are begging to be built. Hopefully I can find the motivation to get back at it soon.
