2025/26 Hockey Season

Kraken with a good win last night, Jets are an actual bunch of real professional hockey players. We win when we play low-event hockey, sometimes looks boring, but I like a good dumper in the corners and go muck it up, fish it out and cycle it. It's when we try to play rush hockey in a track meet on the rush when we hang our goalies out to dry. Here's to a bunch of boring 2-1 victories in the future, but first we need revenge on the Sharks, they seem to have our number the last couple years.

Ya it was a good game last night! It looks better as season has moved along, because the first few (yes we won) but we looked really rough and slow.

Glad things are moving better.

There were many times this session that I felt like they must never practice together. They definitely seem to struggle with passing and controlling the puck in the zone, so many times they just would pass to nobody or to the opposing team. Let's hope they can get something figured out before next season. This one sure looked like season one and was rough.

(PS... the only reason we won against Vegas on Thursday was because of a WIDE open goal, when there goalie got caught behind the goal!)
 
I have the exact same feeling. I mean, I like our guys, they are likeable people, and a bunch of solid NHL players, but no gamebreakers. When they are skating and on their toes, they are extremely competitive. But they don't skate consistently, and the flip side is they can truly be one of the worst teams in the league when they're not skating. And they can't voluntarily turn it on and off like the good teams can, who all have a couple gamebreakers suited up. I liked Ron Francis, sorry to have to see him step aside, but something needs to happen. We have a good farm system, lots of young talent, but I don't know if growing it the organic way is going to yield a perennial playoff team. More questions than answers,

The Stanley cup bracket looks good this year. I like all four teams.
