That's Foraker and Denali above as seen from the upper Yentna.

No kidding, lots of changes and stuff moved around, old runs or little buckets, pockets and seams gone but new ones to explore and find.
It was a big shuffle of the deck but things need to sort of settle in and some sand could stand to clear out or fall into the interstices or whatever. So. Much. Sand. And big giant long shallow wide riffles.

Got to experience an abrupt change to a fishing landscape today. Not the kind of excitement I was hoping for on my first trip of the year. I was maybe 80yds downstream when this big cedar crashed into the river.

I had been fishing that spot about an hour earlier. Probably would've been OK, but close enough to get splashed... and would've needed to change my shorts.

Is that on your property?

A little bit of snow on the hilltops once I got there...

I stop and snap a photo or two from this spot over and over as I like the vista and it's on my way as I drive to/from our place in Beaver. I've posted several in this thread, like here and here.

Last week, I had my old Mamiya 6 medium format film camera with me for a longer-term project I've been working on so pulled over for a quick shot. Not a great photo at all but a very different vibe than the ones linked above and probably a little closer to what I normally do with my cameras.
