Satsop Sea-Run Cutthroat - Free Boat Ride

For what its worth I opted not to float Oct. 1 w/ low water, but did walk upstream from road access and do some bankie fishing.

4 drift boats came by me from Decker. They all said it was real skinny, and lots of walking, but passable.

Two old clacks and two aluminum boats.

As to the fish, two of the boats also low holed me and pulled a big slightly colored up salmon from the tailout of the run I was fishing.

Cutts were everywhere though.

Appreciate the info. What stretch did you talk to them at? I'm wondering if the whole way is clear or they might just not have hit them yet, since most of the bank access I know of is on the upper half of the float.

Low-holing bankies in low water to catch darkies... pretty douchey stuff, especially considering you just talked to them before they picked your pocket.

Social commentary aside, thanks for the info.

Yeah, I was not impressed. Would have omitted them but for the information on the fish.

I also assumed they hadn't found much fishable water upstream (or at least nowhere else to put on the Jimmy Houston hookset clinic they were hosting).
