I've been waffling the past few days on making this post and brainstorming any way to do a salvage mission, but here goes:
Short answer: I'm going to be canceling our reservations with the park.
Longer answer: Interest and commitment for this event have been far below our initial estimates, and well below what we need to hit break-even for the forum as well as
@Jerry Daschofsky . I know there's likely many who want to go but didn't yet or couldn't commit yet, but with the current numbers, it's looking very unlikely we can cross the finish line.
We never expected it to be a huge event attended by hundreds, but with the costs associated with it (especially the feast) and the nature of the swap meet, having just a few guys show up will not be quite the event we had planned.
I know some of you were looking forward to it, and the camping among friends was going to be a good time, but things just aren't super feasible as it stands. We're currently at the deadline for canceling so it's time I move forward with the hard decision.

One note: I have not YET canceled the group site. If anyone wants to take that reservation over and continue on with the social aspect, I'm happy to accommodate that somehow. If not, I'll be issuing refunds for those of you who purchased camp and food reservations.
Hope to try another event at some point! Just need to find a when/where/what that works out.
