What are the fish looking at when their eyes are turned downward? They're always turned downward? Why?
I sure can see the wisdom in a breakaway tether. I did a quick google search looked up this doodad. Probably not the solution, but, an idea to run with.

I can’t see the fly anyway in the water so why bother with a color? I just look for where a fish rises and set the hook. Sometimes it works some time it doesn’t. That’s fishing.
I’m very late to the game this year. The neighbors bulkhead made of boulders is crumbling and has scatter 2 man size rocks in the way of me launching my boat.
But I walked out to my dad’s honey hole and cast a few before I got trapped by the tide. Had a few grabs. Nothing more to report.

I've often thought that the invasive species should be targeted with fishing and hunting. I've never thought about fly fishing for bull frogs though. I don't think I could stomach the screaming when hooked, as others have mentioned.
