    Puget Sound

Finally got a Coho off my local beach tonight. Hooked one last night too but it managed to throw the hook right before I pulled it onto shore.

    Sage Sonic

I have the Sonic 7136-6 and I like it a lot, I want to say I fished the 4 piece as well in the OP at some point which is why I picked it up.

    Kodachrome 64

I tried finding some kodachrome on my old flickr account and decided ektachrome was better, or at least I shot more good shots with ektachrome.

    Kodachrome 64

I shot a lot of kodachrome when I was doing a lot of photography in the 2006s-2015ish. Easily my favorite film, Velvia is a close second.

Any Pass Lake locals/Gurus want to fish Monday or Tuesday?

Definitely not a guru on pass since I only started hitting it this year and I also have to work, but I might be able to break out my drift boat in the evening. Otherwise feel free to shoot a DM and I can share what little I know 😅

    Puget Sound

I was supposed to go with the wife to Pass yesterday evening so she could kayak and I could fish, but she got absorbed in a project and it wasn't the best weather to take out the boat so I threw on waders and headed to the local beach. One of the first double digit fish days in a long time, of...

    PFD’s

If I'm in a kayak in the salt I always have a PFD on no matter what. If I'm alone on the sound in a kayak I also wear my drysuit. There are plenty of comfortable PFDs so theres no good excuse, the drysuit sucks to wear but that water is cold.

SFR Sauk & So Skagit Rd closures

Big thumbs up for culvert replacements but those are going to increase the trip time to some of the spots I like.

    Fishing license for 2026.

You need the emailed/texted security code to log into the website to buy things, its a separate thing from the app and while annoying its a good security practice. You need to put your pin in for the app because it has a shitload of personal info in it you don't want random people to have.

    Fishing license for 2026.

Yeah, I had this issue with a crab catch card (which was harder because I bought the full Fish Washington package which requires a specific $0 crab CRC that was buried in the list. I'll point out that this isn't new to the digital license. I had the same problem last year with the paper...

    Area 9

I told myself that I was going to bust out the kayak next weekend, will I actually do it is the real question.

    Happy Birthday Canada

I have to find a place to take my Canadian wife out for poutine, sadly not too much great poutine around Anacortes.

    Starlink User Opinions

I've used it when out hunting, works great. I haven't had a long enough cable outage on whidbey to turn it back on after moving to standby to test speeds for normal day to day stuff though.
