Yes, the rod in the video is a TFO. Based on the logo it's an older model, most likely one of the Pro series. They have quite a few 11' switch rods up to 8wt. Flip Pallot was a TFO ambassador for quite some time and designed several saltwater focused single hand rod series.

You might want to consider trying something like Euronymphing line. . . basically 3wt level floating flyline (similar in diameter to spey running line) with 10 to 15' of fluoro on the end. That might make hooksetting and line management a bit easier. I like the idea of tying innovative fly...
