Adding to the theme of a terrible hookup ratio fishing top water. Probably went 3/12. Too much fun. Does anyone have a hook they like for searcher/gurgler patterns? I had lots of fish come unpinned more than usual. Thanks in advance.

Hell of a day. Such a fun time of the year on the north sound!

Had a few hours to fish while on the canal this weekend. The perfect time of the year to commit to sound searchers/surface flies, the eats are just too much fun. This fish was missing one of its front pectoral fins among other scrapes. SRC’s continue to be awesome.

Only fish I saw all morning. No complaints.

Floated late last week, absolutely beautiful weather, but tough fishing. No takes in two full day floats. Feeling very fortunate that’s it’s become my new home water, the views never disappoint.

Swung the Sauk Saturday and the Skagit today. Lots of people out but nobody I spoke to had found a fish. Beautiful and dry weekend to be out. First season on this river system and there sure is a lot to take in. The river seems pretty low recently. Any advice on flows you like to look for that...
